When Meredith first reached out to me and began to tell me details of their wedding to be at the beautiful Venue at 37 High Holly, I was so excited! This place is a dream nestled in North Carolina’s Scaly Mountain.
The forecast called for 98% rain, and we were blessed with just enough time to capture some wedding details, portraits before the ceremony, and the ceremony before the rain picked up again. I truly believe how a couple mentally goes into their day makes a huge difference. You’ve planned to the very last detail, and then you have to just let it go and fully embrace your day. Rain or shine, it’s meant to be!
Rain came back in full force during Meredith and Spencer’s bride and groom portraits and they fully embraced it! They hadn’t had a first look either, so I was so stoked that they trusted me to beautifully capture their love, even in the rain.
The rest of the day was so fun and you could see just how much Meredith and Spencer adored each other. I loved their overall vibe, which was so down to earth and natural. They ended the evening with a twist. It’s tradition on the groom’s side to send off the married couple with a celebratory champagne shower. This was SO fun and made for the BEST exit photos!
This was a beautiful day down to the last detail!
