The forecast called for severe thunder storms and rain for the every minute of the day. Strangely, I remember waking up on this morning with a peace over me regardless of the less than ideal odds.
The entire day turned out to be exactly as it was meant to be! The sky even opened up long enough for Sarah and Nick’s first look, ceremony, AND family portraits!
Their backyard reception was every photographer’s dream! They had a clear tent, so all that beautiful natural light could pour in.. even with an overcast, rainy day, it still makes such a difference!
Through severe thunderstorm warnings, everyone celebrated, toasted, and danced the night away. Even with inches of mud up Sarah’s hem, nothing dulled this special day!
I’ve actually never driven home in a storm worse than this one. But, what a stunning day I witnessed! I think this a lot, but it’s days like this one that make me feel truly grateful to be a part of these incredibly intimate moments.
