Down to the River
Elizabeth is not only a friend, but she is my sister-in-law. When she told me she would show me the location where my brother proposed, I was so excited. I’m always up to seeing new spots, but I loved the sentimental meaning behind this location. I felt like I was given a little window to see into a part of their love story.
When we got there, I was immediately blown away with how beautiful it was! We followed a really cool path down to the river and everything was so peaceful. We were there earlier in the day, so we were basically the only ones there other than a handful of fishermen. I first fell in love with this really cool rock face, so we started shooting there and just made our way down to the river… and into the river.
I was super happy that Elizabeth was down for anything, because the majority of my shoots really do end up with my clients, and myself, in the water for those ‘perfect shots.’ Altogether, it was a much needed morning of shooting and my soul was completely refreshed by just being there. I hope this post also makes you feel like getting outside and exploring some new places.
This spot along the Amicalola River is one that I hope to visit again soon. It’s also known as The Edge of the World, and I think that fits because you really do feel like you’ve stepped into a magical place. Also, Elizabeth had two looks, so stay tuned for ‘Part Two’ of this Amicalola River shoot!
